The terms governing purchases from my boutique and this website.

1. Who I am
These terms govern purchases from Carolina Chabert (CAROLINA CHABERT SARL), Rue Ancienne 3, 1227 Carouge GE, Switzerland — whether made through this website, by email, or in the boutique.
2. Ready-made jewellery
Pieces from my collections may be exchanged within 14 days of delivery or collection, provided they are unworn and in original condition. Exchanges are for another piece or a credit; once a piece has been resized or otherwise altered at your request, it can no longer be exchanged.
Before sending anything back, email me at carolina@carolinachabert.com. Return postage is at your cost, sent registered — the piece remains your responsibility until it reaches me. Exchanged pieces are inspected on arrival, and the exchange is confirmed after inspection.
3. Bespoke commissions and made-to-order pieces
Every bespoke and made-to-order piece is created individually for you — your size, metal, stones and design. These pieces are final sale and cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged.
A deposit of 50% begins production, payable once you approve the design. This deposit is non-refundable: if you cancel after approving the design, the deposit is forfeited. The balance is due within 14 days of my notifying you that the piece is complete, and the piece remains with me until full payment is received.
Payment by installments may be possible on request, agreed in writing before production begins.
Photographs of commissioned pieces — bespoke and transformation alike — may be used in my portfolio and communications.
4. Transformation of your own jewellery
When you entrust me with your own jewellery: I assess each piece before any work begins and tell you honestly what is possible, and where risks lie. Stones — particularly older stones — can carry internal flaws that are invisible until a piece is worked on.
By commissioning a transformation you accept that stones are unset and reworked at your own risk in respect of such inherent flaws; I flag any step carrying particular risk before it happens. Parts of the original piece not used in the new design are returned to you, unless their value has been credited toward the work by agreement.
My assessment of your piece is not a formal valuation.
Transformation commissions otherwise follow the same terms as bespoke commissions (clause 3).

5. Quotes and prices
Quotes are valid for 7 days, as precious-metal prices move. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).
6. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Geneva.
