If you have a date to meet — a proposal, an anniversary — tell me at the start and I'll tell you honestly whether it's achievable.

Every project is individually priced — the stone and metal drive most of the cost.Most bespoke and transformation projects fall between CHF 1,200 and CHF 4,000. The stone sets the scale — there is no upper limit.A lab-grown diamond gives you a larger stone for the same budget. You'll have a precise quote after our first conversation, and it costs nothing to ask.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds — the same crystal structure, the same chemical and optical properties as mined stones. The difference is origin: natural diamonds form underground over millions of years; lab-grown diamonds are produced in a controlled environment in weeks.The practical advantage is value: more size, or higher colour and clarity, for the same budget. I regularly work with D–E colour, VVS clarity lab-grown stones. Natural diamonds are available whenever you prefer them.

Recycled gold and sterling silver, from a supplier certified under the Responsible Jewellery Council's Chain of Custody standard. Most diamond work is lab-grown — real diamonds, grown rather than mined — with natural diamonds available on request. Coloured stones come from a long-standing Hatton Garden dealer.Where you already own gold or stones, they're reused wherever structurally possible — often the best material of all.

Yes — it's often my favourite work. Inherited pieces, broken jewellery, things you simply never wear: the stones can be reset, and the gold reused where it's structurally suitable or credited toward the new piece.Not everything can or should be transformed — old solder, worn settings and some alloys set real limits, and I'll tell you honestly before anything starts. No. Many clients begin with only an idea, a person, or a feeling. Guiding you from there is the job — photographs, her existing jewellery, a moodboard we build together.

Often, yes — stones after assessment, gold where the alloy and condition allow. When direct reuse isn't possible, the metal's value is credited toward the new piece instead.I'll tell you which applies before anything starts.

No — walk-ins are welcome. For bespoke and transformation consultations an appointment is better, simply so the time is properly yours

Most rings can, though it depends on the design — the metal, the setting, and how far the size needs to move. Some designs, like full eternity bands, can't be resized at all; I'll always tell you honestly what's possible before any work starts.Every bespoke ring includes one complimentary resizing, so your piece fits perfectly for the moment it's made for. For other resizing work, bring the ring in — I'll assess it while you're here and quote on the spot.

Store pieces dry and separately — stones scratch metal, and diamonds scratch other stones. Keep them away from perfume, hairspray and cleaning products, and clean with a soft cloth.Some materials need particular care. Pearls and mother-of-pearl are the most delicate: last thing on, first thing off. Lapis lazuli and malachite dislike chemicals and ultrasonic cleaning. Rhodium-plated white gold gradually wears with daily use and can be replated in the boutique.Every piece bought or commissioned from me includes a complimentary clean and check-up after the first year — come in, and I'll make sure everything is as it should be. And if anything ever worries you before then, bring it in anyway; small problems are easiest caught early.

Yes, and it's normal — white gold is a yellow metal plated with rhodium, and the plating wears. Replating brings it back to how it looked at the start.From CHF 150 per ring, about a week. A plain band is the CHF 150 job; a setting that needs attention first, or stones that need protecting, adds to it. I'll tell you which yours is before anything starts.This applies to rings that didn't come from me, and to inherited pieces. Bring it in, or send a photograph taken in daylight and I'll tell you what it needs before you decide anything.

Card, bank transfer, and cash in the boutique. Card payments carry a 2% processing fee — bank transfer avoids it, and most clients prefer it for larger amounts.For bespoke commissions and transformations, a 50% deposit begins the work, with the balance due on collection. Quotes are valid for around one week, because precious-metal prices move.

Yes — within Switzerland and to the EU, tracked and signed for.Delivery is free in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.To the EU it's CHF 30, free above CHF 1,500. Elsewhere, write to me — I regularly send pieces abroad and we'll arrange it together. You can also collect at the boutique in Carouge.
